Aim
To improve dietitians knowledge and skills in the treatment of clients with Eating Disorders.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, delegates will:
- Have a greater knowledge of the different types of Eating Disorders and their inter-relationship.
- Be able to describe the physical and psychological effects of starvation.
- Have an understanding of the treatment options for Eating Disorders.
- Be aware of the multi-disciplinary approach and the role of the dietitian within this team.
- Be aware of the need to establish treatment plans, referral pathways and supervision networks when working with this client group.
