Abstract Process
CLOSING DATE: Friday 18th January, 2008
Process
- Blind copies of Abstracts and Abstract summary to be forwarded to Research Officer (Joan Gandy) from Sovereign Conference immediately after closing date, i.e. Monday 21st January, 2008 who will send them out to the reviewers.
- Reviewers to score abstracts then forward Abstract summary with scores and, if applicable, comments for changes by Monday 11th February, 2008 to Joan Gandy.
- Research Committee (Ailsa Welch, Joan Gandy and Kevin Whelan) to review all abstracts and scores i.e. accept, accept with changes or reject.
- Joan Gandy to forward results to Sovereign by Wednesday 5th March, 2008.
- Sovereign to return abstracts needing changes to the authors by Friday 7th March, 2008. Authors must amend and re-submit to Sovereign by Friday 28th March, 2008.
- Sovereign to return re-submitted abstracts to Joan Gandy by 11th April 2008 for preparation for the Journal.
- All accepted abstracts to be sent to Editor of JHND (Joan Gandy) by Tuesday 15th April, 2008 for copy editing by Blackwell's for the Journal.
- Joan Gandy to check that the corrections have been made, and will accept those abstracts that are suitable for publication.
- Joan Gandy to notify Sovereign of accepted abstracts.
- Sovereign to send out a copyright form to authors, completed forms to be faxed or posted by authors to JHND editor JHND Editor. To return all 'unedited' abstracts (uncorrected proofs) to Sovereign for use in the Abstract Booklet.
- Abstract Booklet print deadline Friday 16th May, 2008.
