Latest issues and best practice in sports and exercise nutrition
Jane Griffin BSc RD RNutr
Sports Dietitian and Nutrition Consultant
Dietary advice to sportspeople at any level should be provided by suitably qualified personnel. Unfortunately for a variety of reasons to be explored in the presentation this is not always the case. The role of supplements is often given greater consideration than the diet itself and contracts with particular companies decided by commercial rather than performance departments. After addressing these and other issues the speaker will consider what is meant by "best practice" in sport and exercise nutrition.
