Poster and oral presentations

Those abstracts that have been accepted will be presented at the Research Symposia in either a poster or oral format.

Poster presentation

The process for producing a poster is available on this web site.  We would also recommend reading the article in the May 2008 edition of Dietetics Today, “Preparing a poster for a conference”.

You will be required to give a 3 minute informal summary presentation of your abstract. There will also be a couple of minutes for questions. This short presentation will be carried out in front of your poster with the attendees of the symposia gathered around. 

Oral presentation

For the oral presentation you will be allocated 10-15 minutes on the day. It is recommended that you use Microsoft PowerPoint® to create your presentation.

Please e-mail a copy of your presentation a week before the symposium event and also bring a copy on the day either on a CD or on a USB data stick. There will be an opportunity to rehearse your presentation on the day between 9am -10 am.

A selection of abstracts will be published in the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
