All dietetic students in the UK are required to complete to a satisfactory standard a period of clinical placement as a part of their dietetic course leading to Registration. Students undertake clinical placements in the NHS including hospital-based acute NHS Trusts.
From September 2005, The British Dietetic Association is no longer providing the brokerage service for placements. This is now run by the Transition Team Implementation Programme.
The Transition Team Implementation programme (TTIP) has been established to ensure a smooth transition from the current national system of placement allocation for dietetic practice placements to a more local "cluster" based system.
Access information about the Transition Team and clinical placements. Specific information on Scottish placements is also available.
