BDA support for HPC audit
HPC audit of dietitians' CPD
Dietitians - like all registrants of the Health Professions Council - must commit to continuing professional development (CPD) in order to remain registered and call themselves a dietitian.
The HPC conducts a CPD audit of dietitians every two years and will normally pick 2.5% of the profession to ensure they are meeting CPD standards. Those selected must demonstrate their CPD activities for the previous two years. The next audit is scheduled for 2012.
BDA members can get access to tools and CPD opportunities by logging on to the Members' area of the BDA website.
Support articles and CPD opportunities appear regularly in the monthly members' magazine Dietetics Today.
