Partnerships on Education and Training
To provide assurance for the profession, other healthcare professionals and the public, the BDA has processes for accrediting the pre-registration training of dietitians, plus endorsing other learning activities such as training and short courses.
Accreditation
The BDA accredits pre-registration training of dietitians. The accreditation process has been designed to provide a robust process providing assurance to the profession and those with a legitimate interest, such as students and the public, that the institutions meet professional standards.
A list of current programmes accredited by the BDA can be found at www.bda.uk.com/careers/courses.html
For further information regarding the process, please contact
the Policy Officer – Education on 0121 200 8080 or cpd@bda.uk.com.
Endorsement of learning activities
The BDA endorses learning activities for a wide range of organisations and individuals that provide learning activities with nutrition and dietetic content. BDA endorsement ensures the learning activity is of the highest quality, promotes best practice and is effective in educating participants.
