History Book - available nowBDA History Book launched 3rd January 2012

To celebrate our 75th anniversary, the BDA has launched a book which looks back at our history, both as an organisation and as a profession.

The book is the third in a series that chronicles the BDA’s growth since 1936. The first volume was written in 1961 by Enid Hutchinson and covered the 25-year period between1936-1961. The second book focused on the next 25 years, 1961-1986, and was edited by Carol Bateman.

The latest volume is dedicated to the last 25 years, from 1986-2011, and captures the rapid development of the BDA and dietetics during this period. Written by Dr Pat Judd, former editor of the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, the book is a must-read for all history buffs and those interested in the rise of dietetics as an established and influential profession.

Hard copies of the book are now available.  You can now for the first time ever view all three volumes online so readers can now view a complete history of our Association and profession since 1936.
