New service: Nutrition in the Workplace Workshops
Like it or not, we spend 60% of our life at work and we consume at least a third of our daily food intake while there.
The British Dietetic Association (BDA) has launched a brand new innovative service called “Nutrition in the Workplace” to help support businesses throughout the UK to improve employees’ health and wellbeing to boost productivity and reduce absenteeism in the workplace.
The new service includes nutrition workshops, food demos and a number of services, all designed to meet the needs of individual companies and tailored to meet agreed objectives and budgets.
- Nutrition Workshops - such as:
- Good Mood Food.
- How to Sustain Yourself Through a Busy Working Day-The Healthy Way!
- Heart Health.
- Eating Well for Cancer Prevention – the Facts!
- Eating for Immunity.
- I.B.S. - Help: what do I eat?
- Food Demos – showcasing simple, yet nutritious meals, illustrating how easy it is to make quick, healthy (and tasty!) meals with everyday ingredients that can be stored in the top draw of your desk.
- Nutrition Clinic Days – offering 1-to-1 private consultations with a Dietitian.
All workshops are designed to be interactive – engaging the employees to look at their own meal and snack intake and relating the health messages back to them throughout the seminar.

Testimonials:
“I found it very helpful to have all the advice drawn together as one normally picks bits up in dribs and drabs. The full picture is very persuasive and makes me want to do something about it.
“I know from what others have said that they really valued the session too. You managed to pack a great deal of information into a limited time, and you did it in a very energetic and engaging way that kept everyone interested throughout!”
Sarah Hendry, Director International Division,
Public Health Delivery, Department of Health
“I can honestly say the amount of positive feedback I have received has been astonishing. Our staff are really making the effort and thinking about all the different types of food they can eat.
“I carried out alot of research on different nutritional companies and by far the information you sent over was the most relevant to an office environment, along with the food demos you offer were added bonus.
“To be honest we could have had you here for at least another day as people wanted to know more! We would love to have you back again soon. “
Laura Hensley, Facilites Coordinator
