The Trustees currently meet four times a year to consider grant applications. The next GET meetings will be held on Thursday 26th July and Monday 5th November; the current deadline for funding applications for the following meeting is Monday 24th September. Please submit your application by this date; applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
There are normally at least 6 Trustees, independent of the BDA, who are appointed because of their work within the BDA, their research profile in human nutrition and dietetics, or because they bring independence and impartiality to the review process and the running of the Trust Fund.

- Pauline Mulholland MBE (Honorary Treasurer of the BDA).
- Sue Acreman.
- Michele Mackintosh.
- Prof Martin Wiseman.
- Graham Parker.

The Trust Fund is a charity that makes available grants that ‘advance the science and practice of dietetics’.
The trustee body reviews grant requests four times per year and manages its investments to ensure that sufficient funds are available to support successful grants. The Trustees meet four times a year: twice face to face in Birmingham and twice by teleconference.
We are seeking a new Trustee to expand the skills and expertise within the Trustee body. The Trustees would like to hear from a registered dietitian with expertise in dietetic research, research strategies, research funding and the application of research outcomes into professional practice,
Preference will be given to dietitians who are members of The British Dietetic Association.
