    To increase knowledge and skills in the management of adult patients requiring parenteral nutrition (PN, Short-term or Intestinal Failure Type 1)

    By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

    Define the term PN and state the indications for use 

    State the common access routes for PN and the advantages and disadvantages of routes/catheters available 

    State the advantages and disadvantages of standard and compounded regimens 

    Select an appropriate PN regimen 

    State the appropriate monitoring parameters for PN and wean a patient off PN 

    State the complications of PN and how these are managed
