Functional Imagery Training (FIT) is a new way of strengthening motivation, producing substantial and sustained weight loss. FIT uses collaborative counselling techniques combined with mental imagery exercises to increase desire for lifestyle change. It teaches self-management techniques so individuals continue losing weight by themselves. FIT participants report a ‘mindset shift’ where they exercise or eat healthily because they want to.
This course is for healthcare professionals who wish to become certified Functional Imagery Training practitioners. Experience of motivational interviewing is a prerequisite. Training includes: two-day workshop, assessment and feedback on a recorded practice, individual clinical supervision session.
