ClydeWinner2018

Professor Clyde Williams OBE Award, sponsored by Informed Sport

Awarded to Daniel Martin, SENr Practitioner Member, PhD Researcher & Performance Nutritionist, Liverpool John Moores University.

About the Award - Professor Clyde Williams was Chair of the Board of the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) from 2006 to 2015.  He was instrumental to the conceptualisation of the Register from the outset.  Clyde championed and developed the SENr vision of bringing highly qualified Sports Dietitians and Sports Nutritionists together under one voluntary register, to demonstrate their academic and practical skills and ability – setting them above those who stake claim to such titles without the evidence to support this.

As a mark of the considerable Professional contributions that Clyde continues to make to Sport and Exercise Nutrition an award in his name was created in 2016 to recognise the impact of researchers, educationalists and practitioners in this field.

2018gradwinnerSENr Graduate Award, sponsored by Birmingham City University and Ulster University

Awarded to Andreas Kasper, SENr Graduate Member, currently completed his PhD at Liverpool John Moores University.

About the Award - New for 2018, developed to recognise an individual new to the sector whose work is demonstrating professional impact and a one to watch. The award was open to ALL SENr graduate registrants.

Due to the level of applications it was decided not to present the SENr Practitioner Award, sponsored by FrieslandCampina Institute and SENr Award for Innovation (Media & Industry) - Award sponsor to by NSF International - Certified for Sport®  for 2018. We have already started planning the 2019 awards.
