Cristy Dean
Fettle & Bloom was launched by Bath-based NHS dietitian Cristy Dean, to provide tailored, expert and dedicated support to those with irritable bowel syndrome, SIBO and related gut health conditions.
After graduating from the University of Plymouth with a first-class degree in nutrition and dietetics, Cristy spent many years working in a range of NHS acute gastroenterology ward settings, specialist IBS clinics, university research and in the digital health arena as a specialist diabetes dietitian.
Having seen the devastating effects of IBS on patients and the lack of specific support they receive, Cristy has since dedicated her career to supporting patients with complex gastro-related illnesses, empowering people through proven, evidence-based strategies that can greatly improve their diets, health, lifestyle and general wellbeing.
As well as running her own clinic, Cristy writes on gastroenterological (gut health) topics, provides nutritional support and management of complex oncology and intensive care patients in her hospital role, facilitates IBS and Type 2 diabetes workshops and has supported pioneering clinical research into the role of dietitians in helping people with type 2 diabetes.
Cristy is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Dietetic Association, and is a member of the Freelance Dietitians Group, gastroenterology and oncology specialist dietitian groups.
