All of our student members receive a membership pack with membership card, a benefit booklet giving a useful overview for how to start using and accessing a range of resources, a handy bookmark for when reading our Manual of Dietetic Practice and 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students also receive a useful branded item such as a BDA pencil, pen or postit pack.

There are a number of different opportunities for our student members to get involved and volunteer their time in a variety of roles at the BDA; from writing an article for the Dietetics Today student page, or for the student ezine, to joining one of our Committees as a student rep. 

However much or little time you have to get involved, it’s great for your CV, for networking and for meeting experts and peers in your future profession, check out how you can get involved.

Calling all BDA student members - don't miss out on entering the BDA Research Symposium. The Symposium is the event to showcase dietetic research. Aimed at the developing researcher, there are opportunities for student dietitians who have recently completed their final year dissertation projects and newly qualified dietitians to present their student research projects alongside MRes and PhD projects.


Your Student Rep on BDA Council

John BuddingYour Student Representative on BDA Council for 2016/17 is John Budding who was voted in at the BDA AGM in June and attends strategic BDA Council meetings in order to represent the voice of all BDA student members.

John is keen to encourage students to get involved with the BDA, it's your professional body and it's also great for your CV!
