The East Scotland Branch of the BDA would like to invite you to register for our free webinar on Health Literacy
The case for action on health literacy is set out in “Making it Easy – A Health Literacy Action Plan for Scotland”, published in 2014. It set out the ambition for Scotland to be a healthliterate society that enables all of us to have the confidence, knowledge, understanding and skills to maintain good health.
What does this mean for dietitians?
Effective communication is key to our role and outcome measures and ensuring understanding is paramount and is the cornerstone to supporting self-management of an individual's condition.
Our speaker, Angela Shepherd works for NHS Education for Scotland as a Nursing and Midwifery Practice Educator. Her current role is to provide and facilitate access to education to support key national priorities, and support patient centred care and quality improvement through the development and delivery of specific education for care professionals in their area of expertise. Angela will take us through Top Tips for Good Health Literacy Practice.
We look forward to having you join for an informative and interactive webinar
