Consensus Action on Salt, Sugar and Health (CASSH) have organised a letter to the Prime Minister ahead of his expected announcement of new government action on childhood and adult obesity. The letter, which the BDA has co-signed, urges the PM to act on many of the long-promised policies in the various chapters of the Childhood Obesity Plan. 

CASSH have also published a scorecard (see below), which highlights just how many areas have made little or no progress, including developing weight managment services and introducing promotions and advertising restrictions. The BDA is particularly keen to see greater efforts to introduce . The scorecard can be seen below.

This letter comes shortly after the BDA's own letter to the Prime Minister to push for comprehensive support for people living with obesity, and calling for the avoidance of stigmatising language when discussing obesity.
