BDA joins TUC in calling for fair pay for public servants

BDA members will today (17th October) join thousands of other public servants, and trade unions at a rally in Westminster Square to call on the government to act to give all public sector workers the pay rise they deserve. Caroline Bovey BEM, the BDA’s Chair-Elect and Chair of BDA Wales Board, will address the rally, highlighting the impact that seven years of pay freezes and below-inflation increases have had on dietitians across the UK.

To all those who took part and supported Dietitians Week: Thank you so much for making it an amazingly successful week.

Dietitians Week spawned literally hundreds of local events around the UK and beyond, around the globe.  Dietitians Week was also represented in the four UK main houses, namely Westminster, Welsh Assembly, Stormont and the Scottish Parliament.  We also used social media like never before and had a massive impact which was amplified to well over one million people.

Guide for commissioning weight-loss programmes
