Union members are organised!

In order to organise it’s vital to know who you are organising. It is for this reason that the BDA TU Team are keen to ensure that every BDA member knows who their BDA TU rep is (and if you don’t have a representative in your workplace then now’s the time to put yourself forward for the role!)

Being a BDA Trade Union Representative is a great opportunity to learn more about the workplace, develop key skills, and help your fellow BDA members. We ensure that our representatives receive appropriate training for their role and are supported in their work by our team of full time officers. We established our first BDA Trade Union Reps Conference in 2019 and look forward to our second in October 2020.

We have generated materials to be used on notice boards which can help identify the local BDA Rep but also signpost members (and potential members) to the benefits of BDA membership. If you're a rep you can request resources from our BDA Trade Union Campaigns Officer.

If you're interested in becoming a rep take a look here or contact the BDA Trade Union team union here for further information.
