BDA Honours Committee Members

The BDA Honours Committee promotes honours and encourages and receives nominations for both BDA and national honours.

The committee is responsible for recommending to the Board the conferring of internal BDA Honours which currently includes Fellowship, Professional Achievement, Honorary Associate and Ibex - as well as providing nominations to the national honours process.

The stated purpose of the Honours Committee is to provide relevant expertise, oversee and manage honours applications. The Committee provides expertise and knowledge to and of the profession around the UK; provides guidance on the completion of applications; and where relevant, conducts research and drafts honours nominations and/or citations.

The committee is currently recruiting two new members who fulfil the following criteria: 

  • One BDA member from a membership category other than a full or Student member e.g. Associate, SENR etc 

  • One full member of the BDA 

The committee is interested in hearing from candidates who are currently active in the profession, with strong networks. 

The committee is particularly keen to have applications that reflect the diversity of dietetics and are representative of our community as a whole.
