Policies

As a professional body and trade union, the BDA seeks to influence policy relating to nutrition, our members and the profession of dietetics. Sometimes this involves setting out our own position on a policy area. These statements are helpful to members, decision makers and members of the public as they give a clear and evidence based position on issues that are often quite complex. They also help the BDA internally when we need to respond quickly and decisively on these same issues. View our Policy and Position Statements.

We also respond to a wide range of consultations on policy topics that are issued by governments, arms length bodies, parliamentary committees and other professional bodies. These represent a helpful articulation of the Association's view on a wide range of issues and reflect the latest evidence and experience from the dietetic profession as a whole.

If you have any questions about any aspect of BDA policy, please get in touch with our Public Affairs team.
