Food as Medicine: Talking about Weight

This two-week course is designed to expand healthcare professionals’ (a refresher for dietitians) practical skills in discussing weight with patients. Through the provision of case studies and evidenced-based information, learners will explore common weight and diet related questions, and strategies for management. The course aims to provide useful and practical skills when discussing weight with patients, focusing on common scenarios and topics healthcare professionals may experience with patients, and strategies for management. Along with practical information, the course will provide a refresher on the science behind hunger and appetite, and a current snapshot of overweight and obesity.

This course will also be running between 19 October to 1 November 2020.
