The Symposium provides dietitians, dietetic students and researchers an opportunity to showcase their research, highlight the ongoing development of dietetic practice, and be published in the BDA Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics (JHND).

Join Precision Biotics for breakfast (from 8.30am) to hear Noelle Power, Specialist Gastroenterology Dietitian and Team Lead at The Ulster Hospital, South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust present Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) as a disorder of gut-brain interaction: what does this mean for clinical practice

The talk will be split into 3 sections:

  1. Overview of gut microbiome, gut-brain axis and IBS
  2. Probiotics as part of the management approach for physical and psychological symptoms of IBS
  3. Reflections from clinical practice

Noelle is a Specialist gastroenterology dietitian, with 15 years’ clinical experience in the NHS.  Specialises in the dietary management of gastrointestinal disorders in adults. Vast experience in evidence based, clinical management and teaching of diet related gastroenterology disorders. Special interest in topics such as Small Bowel Bacterial Overgrowth, IBS and IBD.

BDA Members must be logged in to complete registration, Non Members will need to create a profile to complete registration.
