A typical day’s hydration journey

14 Mar 2022

A big proportion of our day can be spent at work and ensuring adequate hydration within the workplace has the potential to significantly impact on our mental and physical health.

Dehydration can increase the risk of health problems such as constipation, urinary tract infections, kidney stones and chronic renal disease. Research shows that even mild dehydration (occurring at as little 1-2% loss of body weight) can be linked to factors which can impact performance, productivity, safety and even enjoyment in the workplace.

A typical day’s hydration journey incorporating the recommended 6-8 glasses/mugs is shown below as a guide to help you stay hydrated throughout your working day.

Remember you will need more in a hot or very physical work environment and in an air-conditioned office
