The Memorandum and Articles empower the organisation to:

  • advance the science and practice of dietetics;
  • promote training and education in nutrition and dietetics;
  • act as a trade union; and
  • promote health and wellbeing amongst the population through dietetics.

Following the BDA’s AGM held on 1 October 2025, a number of changes are being implemented to support the membership category actions voted for at the AGM.
