Dr Adrian Brown, NIHR Advanced Fellow, Senior Research Fellow & Chair of Obesity Specialist Group

More about Dr Adrian Brown - he is an NIHR Advanced Fellow and Senior Research Fellow and Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics in the Centre of Obesity Research at University College London. He is also a Senior Specialist Weight Management and Bariatric dietitian with over 18 years of clinical experience and a PhD in Medicine from Imperial College London. He is chair of the Obesity Specialist group for the BDA.

More about Venessa Osborne - 11 years clinical experience within weight management and bariatric services. IHP Dietetic lead for the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS) council. Bariatric liaison for the British Dietetic Association.

Dr Shelly Coe, Senior Lecturer, Oxford Brookes Centre for Nutrition & Health. RNutr. Expert member of NIHR living with and beyond cancer, nutrition and cancer sub-group. Current focus is on malnutrition in people who are diagnosed with cancer and are also overweight or obese.

More about Dr Shelly Coe - Dr Shelly Coe has performed numerous diet and lifestyle intervention trials in vulnerable groups and has performed studies into cancer, nutrition and health. She is an expert member of the NIHR living with and beyond cancer, nutrition and cancer sub-group.  Dr Coe has a background in complex intervention development and also experience in early psychosocial and lifestyle support and in multiple vulnerable population groups. Her current focus is on malnutrition in people who are diagnosed with cancer and who are also overweight or obese. This is an under researched but a growing and important area of research, with a review of current screening tools for malnutrition in this particular group warranted.
