On 24 January 1936 at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, the first meeting of the BDA took place. Since then, the BDA has only grown, becoming an internationally respected organisation and voice of influence, not only across the four nations but also overseas.
Next January will mark the 90th anniversary of the BDA - ninety years of supporting the pioneers of nutrition science, observing new advancements in dietetics and shaping public attitudes and policy on food and health.
