Liam Carroll
Liam is a Performance Nutritionist specialising in fuelling, recovery and long-term athlete development across elite and semi-professional football. Based in the UK, he works with players from League One to the National League, as well as athletes competing in the League of Ireland and other high-performance environments.
His practice centres on data-driven, athlete-focused support, integrating workload, GPS metrics, energy availability, sleep, hydration and recovery markers to build clear, practical fuelling systems. Liam’s AFPRS framework (Assess · Fuel · Perform · Recover · Sustain) is designed to help athletes improve performance consistency, reduce fatigue, and maximise availability across the season.
With a background in 1:1 coaching and applied work in football and endurance sport, Liam combines evidence-based sports nutrition with simple, real-world implementation. His focus is supporting athletes to develop long-term self-sufficiency, improving their fuelling habits, decision-making and recovery strategies so they can perform at their highest level year-round.
