Jennifer Young
Over the past 17 years, my work as a dietitian has been grounded in community practice — including extensive work supporting adults with weight management and working in specialist NHS CAMHS eating-disorder services with adolescents — giving me a deep understanding of how complex and personal eating difficulties can be, and shaping my calm, compassionate, and realistic approach today.
I now support women who feel stuck in patterns of emotional or comfort eating, weight fluctuation, and ongoing frustration around food — often despite being knowledgeable, capable, and successful in other areas of their lives.
My work focuses on helping clients make sense of why eating patterns feel hard, particularly during periods of stress, overwhelm, or depletion, and supporting them to develop practical, evidence-based ways to feel calmer, more confident, and more in control around food.
I take a collaborative, structured approach that brings together nutrition science with psychological and behavioural strategies, always working within individual preferences, values, and real-life constraints.
I don’t promote restrictive dieting or quick-fix solutions. Instead, I support clients to build sustainable eating patterns that protect both physical health and emotional wellbeing, and that can be maintained beyond the short term.
I offer one-to-one online support and work ethically, transparently, and in partnership with clients to help them make informed, lasting changes.
