  • Jackie Gandy - I have been working as a kidney dietitian at the Royal Free since 2010 and have experience across all modalities and stages of chronic kidney disease. For the past year, my focus has been on early-stage CKD in community led clinics, where the focus is preventing disease progression. The other part of my role and passion is addressing obesity in CKD.  In conjunction with the MDT, I run a weight management programme with GLP-1 agonist to help reduce patients living obesity lose weight to enable transplant listing. • Michelle Chody - I am a physiotherapist with a passion for everything related to exercise! I have spent the last few years working in Oncology with only a recent move into the Renal World with a chance to work with a cohort of patients that have many barriers to being more active. I believe everyone should be given the knowledge, opportunity and support in both the benefits of exercise and how to embed this into their lives especially when living with a long-term condition. The benefits are endless and I dream of the day when all patients are 'prescribed' exercise as part of their personalised management plan! People living with obesity are complex and are faced with many challenges; all requiring a specialist multi-disciplinary approach - something I am proud and fortunate to be a part of! My aim is that we can all learn together and support each other in ensuring we are enabling people living with long-term conditions to be more independent, physically active and have a meaningful quality of life.
