About the speakers
Tanya Rumney is a dietitian based in Chester and has worked with Health Education England (now NHS England) and the BDA to support the implementation of First Contact Practitioners and Advanced Practitioners. Tanya will give a strategic overview on why these roles are crucial to address health and care priorities, the routes in to FCP and AP and how to get support for these roles within your PCN or NHS organisation.
Susan Gallagher is a First Contact dietitian based in Chester Central PCN. Susan started her PCN career in 2020 and whilst seeing a range of patients, there is a focus on diabetes. In 2022 Susan gained her qualifications in First Contact Practice in Primary Care from the University of Central Lancashire. She is now in a Trainee ACP role and is due to start an Advanced Practice Masters in September. Susan will give insight on her experience of FCP in Primary Care.
