Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is increasingly being recognised as a powerful approach within eating disorder care — helping clients move away from rigid food rules and self-criticism, and towards flexibility, compassion, and recovery-aligned living.
Dietitians and healthcare professionals are uniquely placed to integrate ACT principles into nutrition counselling and meal support. Yet many remain uncertain about how to apply ACT safely and effectively within their scope of practice.
This webinar will equip you with a clear understanding of ACT’s core processes and how they relate to eating disorder recovery. Priya Tew, Specialist Eating Disorder Dietitian and founder of Dietitian UK, is an award-winning clinician and media spokesperson with over 15 years’ experience in eating disorder treatment. Priya has supported hundreds of clients through individual work and the Recovery Tribe, her group recovery program. She also provides education and training for healthcare professionals across the UK and is passionate about eating disorder care.
