The webinar will be focusing on metabolic complications in people living with HIV.
We will be joined by an expert in her field, Dr Saira Hameed. Dr Saira Hameed is a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, a Senior Tutor in the Imperial College School of Medicine and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. She designed and trialled the novel and highly effective Imperial-SatPro weight management programme which is described in her book, The Full Diet: The revolutionary new way to achieve lasting weight loss.
Followed by a dietetic case study focusing on metabolic complications including dyslipidaemia and risk of developing diabetes, by Tracy Russell. Tracy is the co-chairperson for the BDA HIV Care Specialist Group. She has more than 26 years' experience in working with patients living with HIV and is currently based at the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh.
The webinar will be followed by our annual AGM, which is open to all members of the BDA HIV Specialist Group to attend.
