This webinar will briefly touch on diagnosis and pathophysiology of disorders of gut brain interaction (DGBI). Cover practical dietary options for common functional bowel disorders including irritable bowel syndrome, slow transit and functional constipation. Discuss the overlap of gastroduodenal disorders including gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia and the appropriate dietary management of these conditions. Provide an overview of recognising and managing symptoms of avoidant restrictive food intake disorder, with a focus on using graded food exposure as a dietary therapy and the understanding how peripheral and central mechanisms can contribute to DGBI symptoms and how this can be educated to the patient.
