The BDA's Let’s Get Cooking programme has been providing expert advice on waste reduction through its education programmes across Merseyside for more than three years. This year, in partnership with Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority, it’s getting even more practical with a new Waste Warriors programme.

The BDA is playing its part in supporting families and households experiencing food insecurity by working with Barnardo’s on a new cooking skills project.

BDA Work Ready partnered with Let’s Get Cooking and Wellbeing at Work Collaborative to deliver an engaging department away day for University College London’s ‘Being Well at UCL’ community initiative.

Action for Children and the British Dietetic Association (BDA) picked up the baton on improving child health through food by continuing some of the work of the Children’s Food Trust, once it closed its doors at the end of September 2017. 

With great sadness the Children’s Food Trust has announced it is to close. The Trust can reflect on a fantastic legacy having made a genuine and positive contribution to improve children’s health and well-being in the UK.
