This is the first of 5 journal clubs that the CVD specialist group will deliver to help support members with CPD. In this lunch-and-learn session we will look at a recently cited paper titled “Comparative Effects of Low-Dose Rosuvastatin, Placebo, and Dietary Supplements on Lipids and Inflammatory Biomarkers”. This paper is important as it appears in the recent ESC updated guidance on dyslipidaemia. However, as we will see there are a few issues with its use and interpretation in practice.
