This virtual classroom course will introduce the concept of behaviour change with delegates beginning to develop the knowledge and skills required to use behaviour change strategies as tools in communication with patients (including dietetic consultations) and to ensure a service user centred approach to this aspect of care.

This is an introductory course, which outlines the principles of behaviour change.  It is thus aimed at the following core audience:

  • Dietitians new or wishing to refresh their knowledge with regard to the concepts of behaviour change
  • Assistant Practitioners / higher level support workers who wish to understand the principles of behaviour change in order to assist in effecting the behaviour change of service users.
