The BDA Events Calendar provides information and booking details on the range of events hosted by the BDA, BDA Specialist Groups and BDA local Branches with a programme of BDA CED courses and BDA endorsed courses.

BDA Centre for Education and Development (CED)

The BDA Centre for Education and Development (CED) provides quality assured education and continuing professional development programmes for dietitians and dietetic support workers.

For dietitians, the CED currently offers courses in specialist areas of dietetic practice, professionalism skills and leadership and management competencies.  Courses are provided to suit those at different levels of the career framework, although following a BDA member survey, the target audience for courses in specialist areas of dietetic practice has changed from entry to specialist level.

BDA Vision BDA Vision logo

BDA Vision will be held on on Thursday 30 March 2017, in Birmingham City Centre.

The day will showcase the best innovation and practice across the profession aimed at dietetic managers and leaders. Programme and bookings launch early January 2017.

Last edition was held on 4th and 5th June 2015 at thestudio in Birmingham City Centre.  The two day BDA Vision programme, incorporates Annual General Meeting, Elsie Widdowson Lecture and Awards Dinner. More details on what happened here.   The 2015 theme was ‘Influencing’ and will showcase national policies and impacts on local government whilst providing alternative methods of integrating, sharing and localising.

BDA Vision is the dietetic leaders’ event that showcases the best innovation and practice across the dietetic profession whilst incorporating case studies from the wider AHP’s.

Research Symposium 2015Research Symposium

The first satellite symposium was held in Northern Ireland on Wednesday 30 November followed by Research Symposium on Wednesday 7 December 2016 in Birmingham City Centre. Coverage on the 2016 edition - the facts, figures and details are available here. 

Dates for 2017 will be released soon.

The BDA Research Symposium is an invaluable, useful day for practising, research dietitians and dietetic students to enhance their knowledge of the ongoing research in dietetics. It also gives delegates the opportunity to network with a vast range of dietitians in attendance.

BDA Live logoBDA Live

BDA Live was last held on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th March 2016 in Westminster London.

The event celebrated the past 80 years of the BDA and the profession whilst looking to the future through the informative and thought poking programme over the two days. 

The next edition will be in Spring 2018. More details announced in 2017.

The Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) is a voluntary competency-based register of choice for Sport and Exercise Nutrition Professionals.

SENr is designed to accredit suitably qualified and experienced individuals working with performance oriented athletes, as well as those participating in physical activity, sport and exercise for health. Want to know more about SENr?

The BDA Specialist Groups and Branches host a programme of events throughout the year. Groups also offer additional training including the Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition Clinical Update Course and Paediatric Modular Courses.

The BDA Trade Union Department host a training programme abd development days for Trade Union Representatives.
