The aim of this webinar is to enhance participants’ understanding of how medications for obesity interact with nutritional, psychological, and patient centred needs, and to introduce a collaboratively developed, accessible nutritional resource that supports safe, equitable, and holistic care.
The webinar is suitable for dietitians and professionals not specialising in weight management such as Public Health, dietitians in other specialities, NHS managers + broader BDA members, people working in health and wellbeing, weight management workers who are not dietitians such as physios and psychologists, LA wellbeing advisors, health coaches.

More about Adrian Brown - Dr Adrian Brown is a NIHR Advanced Fellow and Associate Professor (Principal Research Fellow) in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Centre of Obesity Research at University College London (UCL), which he co-leads. He also serves as programme co-Lead for the MSc Dietetics (Pre-registration) course at UCL. With over 19 years of clinical experience, he is a Senior Specialist Weight Management and Bariatric Dietitian and holds a PhD in Medicine from Imperial College London.
More about Laura Stewart - Dr Laura Stewart RD is an award-winning Registered Dietitian and the founder of AppleTree Healthy Lifestyle Consultancy. With over 35 years of experience working within NHS weight management, Laura has held roles as a practitioner, manager, and researcher. Allowing her to provide expert advice and support in multiple aspects of weight management services.
More about Clare Neilson - Dr Clare Neilson completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh in 1992, since then she has worked as a Clinical Psychologist in NHS Tayside, working in a variety of clinical specialties, but for the past 14 years she has specialised in weight management.
She leads a team of psychologists working across the lifespan with children, adolescents and adults focussing on the psychological factors which underpin the relationship people have with food.
She is passionate about understanding and promoting the role adverse childhood experiences play in the development and maintaince of obesity.
More about Jade Sampford - Jade Sampford completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham before undertaking a MSc pre-registration Physiotherapy degree at King’s College London.
Following qualification, she joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, where she has worked in clinical practice for 11 years. She is currently a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with a focus on obesity management.
Alongside her clinical role, she is completing a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. Her doctoral work supports her development as a practitioner–researcher within the obesity service, where she is keen to advance the role of physiotherapy in this rapidly evolving field
