Amy Buckley is a gut specialist dietitian with extensive experience across the NHS and academic research setting. She is currently completing a PhD at King’s College London, investigating the role of diet and the gut microbiome in IBD activity and treatment response.

She holds a first-class Master’s degree in Nutrition and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics from King’s College London. Amy began her career at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where she specialised as an upper gastrointestinal surgical dietitian over four years. She then moved into research, working as a dietitian in a randomised controlled trial in patients with Crohn's disease. Through this work and her PhD, Amy has developed specialist expertise in working with people with Crohn’s disease.

Amy is also FODMAP-trained through King’s College London and supports patients with IBS. She has a strong interest in women’s health and fertility, having completed the Fertility Nutrition Course for Healthcare Professionals. Her approach combines motivational interviewing with highly personalised, evidence-based care to help patients get the most out of their treatment.
