More about Ruth - During Ruth's first five years as a dietitian, she worked in a wide range of areas of dietetics and in a variety of hospitals. In 2019, Ruth became a specialist neuroendocrine oncology dietitian working with the NHS Wessex NET group. This was a new charity funded role for 4 years and involved setting up the dietetic service and working across the Dorset and South Hampshire area. Ruth helped NET patients with their diet and abdominal symptoms, to help improve their prognosis and quality of life. In 2023 the role was made permanent and she now funds across multiple NHS Trusts. I
In 2024 Ruth became the lead of a national group of NET dietitians who look to share knowledge and develop guidelines around nutrition and NETs and overall promote the importance of dietitians within the NET MDT.
