Ciara is a registered dietitian specialising in bariatric surgery and weight management.

She currently works within a bariatric service for the NHS, assessing, educating, and supporting people through their journey before and after bariatric surgery. This includes regular one to one consultations, assessing blood results for patients’ nutritional status and correcting any deficiencies. She provides guidance and education on eating techniques necessary post surgery as well as other diet and lifestyle changes to help optimise patients’ health and weight loss success. She also works with expectant mothers who have had bariatric surgery and may need some additional support while pregnant.

As well as working for the NHS, Ciara is a Freelance Dietitian and co-owner of Peninsula Dietitians. She has also worked in nutrition support, IBS, diabetes care and weight management. She has completed training in Behaviour Change and the low FODMAP diet for treatment of IBS. Ciara has significant experience delivering group education sessions and enjoys giving talks on nutrition and wellness. 

She would like to support people who are looking for help with their diet and lifestyle either pre or post bariatric (weight loss) surgery, for weight management or IBS advice.
