The BDA is looking for a Chair to lead BDA Scotland Board (please download full job description here)
As Christine Brown comes to the end of her term, the BDA is looking for a new Chair for the Scotland Board.
The purpose of the role is to represent the dietetic profession and the BDA in Scotland; to oversee Scotland Country Board’s work programme; and, liaise with the BDA Board of Directors on behalf of members.
This is a strategic leadership role and the post holder will be expected to represent the BDA locally, develop and influence local policy, manage the Scotland Country Board and work closely with the BDA Board, staff and volunteers.
The post holder will be a full BDA Member and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They will also demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and diversity and to growing diversity in dietetics and the development of sustainable workforce.
The BDA Selection Committee will be looking for an individual who works in Scotland and has good connections with BDA members across Scotland. Connections with the Scottish health system and Government would be an advantage, but are not essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of BDA Governance and strategic plan 2024-2034.
Remuneration
An annual fee of £5,000 will be paid and appropriate expenses will be reimbursed for travel to meetings and events, where required, in line with BDA policies.
