This course has been developed to empower medics, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with a more in-depth knowledge and understanding to the identification and treatment of individuals presenting weight loss as a result of malnutrition.  These are often the first professionals who meet with individuals presenting with weight loss concerns and so it is essential that we equip the wider workforce with the building blocks to help identify, screen and appropriately treat to minimise risk of further deterioration.

Aimed at  non-dietitians, Medics and Pharmacists and any healthcare profession with an interest in Nutrition and wishing to expand their knowledge and understanding in the area of undernutrition. The course encompasses an in-depth overview around undernutrition, focusing on the aetiology and factors impacting on weight loss and malnutrition.  The course provides a detailed insight into identification and screening of malnutrition along with appropriate management in primary care.
