Dietary Management of Obesity Medications and Bariatric Surgery

This new course, delivered at the BDA office in Birmingham, aims to equip HCPC registered AHP's with the knowledge and skills for the nutritional management of pharmacological and surgical treatments for obesity 

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

(1) Understand the biology of obesity and weight loss

(2) Understand how obesity medications and bariatric surgery treat the underlying biology of obesity

(3) Facilitate behavioural changes to optimise treatment responses from obesity medications and bariatric surgery

(4) Assess for nutritional risks associated with obesity medications and bariatric surgery

Registration criteria:
