With the rapid evolution of CFTR modulators, the clinical landscape of cystic fibrosis dietetics is shifting faster than ever. We are uncovering new clinical questions every day in our clinics, but how do we actually find the time to answer them?

For most of us, "doing research" feels like an impossible add-on to an already exhausting clinical caseload.

To bridge this gap, the BDA CF Specialist Group are hosting this webinar designed specifically for busy NHS clinicians looking to dip their toes into the research world without compromising their day job.

  More about Darren -Darren Sills is the Clinical Lead Specialist Dietitian at the Wolfson CF Centre and the Research Officer for the BDA Cystic Fibrosis Specialist Interest Group. With nearly 20 years of NHS experience, Darren recently completed his PhD at the University of Nottingham, focusing on diet and gastrointestinal symptoms in CF. He is a strong advocate for modernising nutritional guidelines to prioritise whole-food diet quality and is passionate about helping clinical dietitians build the confidence, skills, and find funding pathways needed to integrate research into everyday practice.

  More about Joanna - Joanna has been working with people with CF for 20 years and is currently doing her PhD at the University of Oxford, where she is running EASE-CF, a feasibility RCT testing a dietetic led weight loss intervention for people with CF. She is current chair of the European CF Nutrition Group and is on the scientific committee of European Cystic Fibrosis Conference. She has also been the AHP representative on the UK CF Trust Registry Steering Committee and sits on the CTAP Research Scientific Oversight Board. She has benefited from funding from the NIHR and is keen to help other dietitians who are interested in research but aren’t sure where to start.
