Gut symptom management often involves on dietary restriction, but for clients with a history of, or for those vulnerability to, disordered eating, restriction can be damaging for their relationship with food. This session explores the bidirectional relationship between gut issues and disordered eating, equipping RDs to manage symptoms without compromising a client's relationship with food.
Attendees will learn how to recognise disordered eating red flags, when to adapt or pause a restrictive protocol, and how to apply non-restrictive, and practical harm-reducing strategies for clients navigating both gut issues and eating distress.
