• Helen is a UK Specialist Diabetes Dietitian, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Dietetic Association and Diabetes UK.

• With a keen interest in the human body, health and science, Helen graduated in the year 2000 with a degree (BSc Hons) in Anatomical Sciences from The University of Wales, Cardiff.

• Helen went on to pursue her love of food, health and working with people graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from Leeds Metropolitan University (2003).

• Helen began working as a dietitian in 2003; specialising in adult diabetes from 2006 to present day. Helen has a wealth of experience in diabetes as well as other metabolic conditions, working with diabetes teams in York and Leeds, both in the hospital and community settings.

•  Specialist skills in behaviour change enabling you to set your own achievable goals that will improve your health and diabetes long-term.

• Seeking the latest evidence, Helen will translate this into her practice, tailoring advice in a realistic and practical way.

• Alongside the UK Diabetes Technology Network (DTN-UK) working group, she has reviewed and updated the Best Practice Guide: Using diabetes technology in pregnancy.
