I am a Paediatric Dietitian with 27 years’ experience working as a Senior Dietitian in the NHS. I currently work at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. I see a wide variety of paediatric patients.
I play a central role within our hospital trust’s Paediatric Allergy Team. I keep up to date with research and translate this into practical guidance for parents with food allergic children. I facilitate groups for parents with infants with Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy. This has given me a wealth of experience in the management of this condition.
I have worked in a specialist weight management clinic for many years and bring my skills in cognitive behavioural therapy to help children and families adopt more healthy lifestyles.
I have had experience working in Primary Care seconded to the CCG for various projects. These roles involved education of other health professionals. I also write case studies and give lectures on various aspects of Paediatric Food Allergy and nutrition.
Areas of specialism are:
• Food Allergy
• Fussy Eating
• Early Years Nutrition
• Weight management
• Faltering Growth
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome
I am registered with the British Dietetic Association and Health Care Professions Council. I am also a member of the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
I can offer 1:1 Video consultations or telephone calls in evenings or at the weekend.
