I am Shehnaz Bashir, a Registered Dietitian with over 13 years of experience working within the NHS and private practice. I specialise in digestive health, helping adults with Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis (IBD), IBS and other gut health conditions improve their symptoms, nutrition and confidence with food.

I am the founder of The IBD Dietitian, a specialist nutrition consultancy dedicated to supporting people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. My approach combines evidence-based nutrition with practical strategies tailored to your symptoms, lifestyle and stage of disease, whether you are experiencing an active flare, recovering from treatment, or managing ongoing symptoms in remission.

I completed specialist Low FODMAP training through King's College London and provide support for IBS, IBS-type symptoms in IBD remission, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and digestive discomfort.
